Habits of Super Successful People
Author Tom Corley has spent years studying a topic we all want insight on, and that is how did super successful people get to where they are? What makes them special or different from the average person? Is it just something people are born with or are there certain skills and habits that anyone can acquire? In his book, "Change Your Habits Change Your Life,” he explores this topic and has pinpointed certain habits that highly successful people all share. So what do successful people do? Here are just three of the habits pinpointed in his book.
They Get Up Early
Corley found that almost 50% of the self-made millionaires that he studied get up 3 hours before their work day actually begins. This personal time each day gives them the chance to pursue personal projects, focus on their mental and physical health and it generates a feeling of being in control of their own lives.
They Practice Isolated Focused Thinking
Isolated focused thinking could be defined as meditating in a spiritual sense. But if you don't want to look at it in a spiritual sense, then isolated, focused thinking is just time you take alone with yourself every day to reflect on what is going on in your life. What is working, what isn't working? What changes need to be made? It gives you a second to evaluate and plan. This practice, like getting up early, also fosters a sense of being in control of your own life and choices. Having a sense of healthy control is crucial to long term success and good decision-making.
They Get Enough Sleep
Adequate sleep is crucial to all aspects of functionality. You will not be successful at anything if you are exhausted and foggy. Make sleep a priority. This also fosters healthy control over your own life.
If you feel that you are constantly on the losing end of life, and that you have no control over your life, and that other people are just naturally more successful a change of circumstances may not be what is needed. You may simply need a change in your habits.
